Inspired by a photograph you supply, I use pencil, charcoal, pen, watercolor, and/or ink, to create priceless, emotionally-evocative artwork that captures the special moments, people, and places in your life.

First, I do rough sketches to familiarize myself with the subject matter. When I am ready, I move on to do a final sketch that will form the basis for the complete work. Then I will build on that sketch to create your final piece.
When I work with pen and Copic ink, sometimes I skip the pencil phase and jump straight to pen, as it keeps my drawing more fluid and spontaneous for a sketchier style.
Whichever medium you prefer, commissioning a custom piece of my artwork is a great way to turn an average snapshot of a fleeting special moment/memory or a meaningful place in your life into a keepsake that you can actually hang in your home!
